I do completely understand what you're trying to do. Unfortunately, I'm not 
sure that it's possible with the Custom Search API. It is likely that the 
Custom Search API is intentionally prevented from providing identical results 
to those provided by google.com. This was the case with the old Search APIs, 
and it was intended to prevent people from abusing the system. Also, the Custom 
Search API and the regular search engine, I do believe, utilize different 
backends and slightly different indexing principles as the CSE is really 
designed to search a curated list of websites rather than the whole web.
