So apparently this thread has become whining session. If your web venture doesn't make enough money to cover the new hosting costs, Google probably did you a service by forcing you to think about something that actually will.
It's pretty refreshing and encouraging to think that Google will start competing properly with other cloud vendors, rather than forcing them out of the race by giving valuable resources away for free. And no - I'm not going to switch from Google app engine.
