Since our [https://informatics.kumc.edu/work/blog/2012/03/heron-el-dorado- release March 2012 release], HERON gets hospital billing info via UHC. I don't know whether UHC distinguishes admit from discharge diagnoses; if so, HERON doesn't yet notice. HERON is sensitive to primary y/n; as long as UHC diagnoses are generally discharge diagnoses, I can report that as primary discharge diagnosis. I'm not sure what to do otherwise. But the KU hospital has switched to Epic for billing ("charge capture" is the term I hear), and it's on our todo list to add Epic billing diagnosis data to HERON. -- Ticket URL: <http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/ticket/90#comment:13> gpc-informatics <http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/> Greater Plains Network - Informatics _______________________________________________ Gpc-dev mailing list Gpc-dev@listserv.kumc.edu http://listserv.kumc.edu/mailman/listinfo/gpc-dev
