Hi David, Great! a wish in the morning made visual is the afternoon:-)
My initial idea was to have a list as dashes and a tree as parallel lines but Your suggestion might be better. The tree is a more complex line as is the data. I feel the example tree is visually too complex.... The rectangular blocks are visually too strong IMO. They create too much visual noise. some suggestions: What about leaving out the perpendicular closing lines. making it a double dashed line with less open space. How about more of a relation between the types: 1 line single value ______________ 1 dashed line = list ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ double (parallel) dashed line = tree. ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ Or ___________________ & ___________________ ___________________ & ____________________ __|____|____|____|____| BTW empty list is perfect :-) Cheers Willem On Mar 20, 3:10 pm, David Rutten <[email protected]> wrote: > http://groups.google.com/group/grasshopper3d/web/NewWireTypes.jpg > > I'm too lazy to try and find in which thread this came up.. so here's > a screenshot of potential different wire types. > I'll turn this into an option which will be off by default. > > I can also tweak colours, but it will be difficult to add support for > multiple pen strokes, so the pattern ought to be possible with a > single GDI pen definition. > > -- > David Rutten > [email protected] > Robert McNeel & Associates
