thanks for that. I haven't taken a look at your file but I like what
it's doing. I should have said that I have a scripted version going -
I just rebuilt what that other guy had done in Python. It works fine
only there are those gaps I was mentioning which means that the
surface reads as discontinuous. But I'm going to have a look at your
file - it looks like it might be avoiding that situation....
