That should be OK, I think. I would recommend that you upgrade to Yosemite
(10.10) one of the these days. 10.8 is Mountain Lion, which is two years out of
date. You risk being bypassed with an older OS (new software will require it)
and your computer security is at risk without the latest OS & patches.
