Maybe because talk is cheap and I haven’t seen your code. ;-) I mean,
you wrote in [1]:

What if we simplified and shortened this GCD to only the
changes. And consider splitting / grouping the many changes into
separate GCDs, which would make it easier to find consensus.

And I’ve missed such simplified and shortened proposal. It’s what I
tried; for the good, the bad and the ugly. :-)

Yes, I read the draft but no I did not comment; it’s not a discussion
period before the discussion period; else I’b be co-author. ;-)

BTW, GCD 001 reads:

  - A *sponsor* is a contributor who, during the submission period (see
below), informs the author(s) that they would like to support the GCD
by participating in discussions, providing constructive comments to
help the author(s), soliciting opinions, and acting as timekeepers. As
a sponsor, please make sure that all participants have the time and
    space for expressing their comments.

For me, sponsoring isn’t supporting in the sense of fully agreeing with
the proposal, else it’s co-author. Sponsoring means supporting in the
sense of this discussion appears to me valuable to happen. The
clarification of Teams and the special team Maintainers appears to me
very worth!

Maybe it’s an option. Because in the current state of the GCD, some
concerns do not appear to me addressed.

Cheers,
simon
