Hello Aaron Although sometimes it is great having everything on one 8, 16, or 32 GB card there are times when it is easier to keep separate content on its own card. For example if I am going on a long trip I would put music on one SD card, books on another, and text/MS Word files on yet another card. Employing this strategy is easier to manage using a card reader instead of the BookSense unit. This accomplishes a few things. It allows me to bring more material, keeps everything separated nicely, and doesn't leave me with a single point of failure while away from my computer. One might say that I still have the BookSense as my single point of failure, however I might have another device with me that supports the SD card format. For example I use Trekker with Maestro and since that unit does not support HC SD cards I have a backup solution for my hardware as well.
