Yes, separate volumes settings for the audio content and the text-to-speech is
just one of the features we have requested for almost a year now since the
BookSense was released. We've also asked for a better search method using the
keyboard for text entry, an adjustment to the recording levels that would
prevent distortion when using the internal microphone and correction of the
pronunciation errors in the Neospeech text-to-speech engine. Unfortunately, GW
Micro is not the company that writes the firmware for the BookSense; they can
only pass our suggestions along to HIMS, the manufacturer. Since we never hear
anything directly from HIMS, we don't know if they will ever implement these
and other suggestions we make for improvement of the BookSense. We also don't
know if it does any good to continue to voice the same complaints a year later,
since Raul said that each bug report and suggestion was only entered into the
database once. Is HIMS still aware that it is important to us to get these
things done, and even more importantly, do they care?

Yes, this is something we have told GWMicro befor. We need to be able to set
a relativistic volume for the Text-to-Speech. currently when I am llistening
to music I have to turn the volume down before I push anything that activates
TTS or I hurt my ears.

We need the capability to set how much higher or lower we want the TTS volume
versus the player level.

Any chance we can get this on the bug list? Also, it would be nice if we
could get back some of the speaker volume we loast when going to 2.0 I had to
buy a set of small Bluetoot speakers to use since the Bookscence voolume is not
loud enough except for in bed at night., and no I don't have a hearing problem.

  Thanks

oo. When I'm using the external speaker, I set the volume to 21 and the
audio player isn't loud enough. The tts is a little too loud.
