When this happens it is safe to conclude that there is a problem with one of
the scripts running. It is not to do with scripting support itself but to
do with one of the scripts having a bug.
Here is an example. The skype scripts while they add functionality to skype
have a problem where right now they are causing msaa menus to speak twice.
This is not a bug caused by scripting support but caused by the skype
script. once I have found the script with an error I have three options.
I can one stop using the script. two use the script and live with the
problem or three try to fix the problem.
I should always report the problem to the creator of the script so it can be
fixed ----- especially if I am unable to fix it myself
If I am able to fix it myself than I should provide a fixed copy to the
author of the original script for distribution
This is one of the great advantages to scripting. You can fix errors
yourself if you know how and you are going to get a script fixed faster than
a complete update to a full program. Not only this but you are going to get
a lot more contributors to a scripting community then you are to a closed
source company writing code.
So scripting support introduces no negatives and lots of positives. Any
instabilities is caused by the scripts themselves and not the programs
support for them.

While I have a lot of scripts (not 60) installed, I do see occasional
problems do to scripts running.
In most instances, the problem is resolved by temporarily shutting down
scripting in WE's control panel.

One of the downsides -- and one I view as inevitable -- is that,
occasionally, WE will loose some stability due to them running.
It, however, is a small penalty to endure for the benefits they
contribute.

nobodies
of this world when He wants them to meet Somebody who can save everybody.
