If you want to boot from the cd in order to boot the usb backup drive,
then you cannot use Window-Eyes since you are not in Windows. However
for hard drive to hard drive backups, it just works because if you need
to boot the backup drive, you just switch it to the primary and it just
boots up Windows like normal.

Earlier this week someone asked what imaging or cloning software works
well with WE. The answer given was Casper.
When I read up on it, it appears to require using its boot CD or a USB
boot device. If this is correct, then how does WE fit into the
picture? Or do we need to use a DOS screen reader such as Vocal-Eyes?
