You echo my thinking here Chip. Sooner or later folks are going to have to wake up to the idea that complex scripting for things like OCR, audio editing software, or some parts of Office such as Access, is going to mean money does indeed change hands.
Too possibilities occur to me: scripting subscriptions where you would pay developers a certain amount per month or year in specialist fields like audio. Second, if scripts turn out to be really good and reliable then GW could consider using them under licence from the developer.
