Hi Chip

Thank you for taking your time to look into and maybe fix this issue.

The problem is when I type Control-R or Control-E etc, when typing in Word03 and I do NOT have keyboard layout set to voice on with words and characters, the commands are not read. Shift lock is read but nothing else.

I type for a living so knowing when or if I accidentally center or right justify would be nice. Between keyboard commands for Word03 and W-E etc, I could and may have centered something without my knowledge by hitting the wrong keyboard combination. Having keyboard voice on reading every word would be very distracting.

Mike at GW said he would put this issue on a list of things to change, but there may be more pressing issues for upgrading and others may not be as interested in this change as I would. It could also be your Word script will already do this and/or I am too inexperienced with W-E. As it is, I don't run a lot of scripts. If you make an adjustment in your script, I will definitely run it.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Brenda

I think I could fix this for you in my MS Word script, which already fixes
other WE/Word problems. however, I have to say I don't exactly understand
the problem, so if you wouldn't mind explaining it again, maybe I can get it
and do something for you.

thanks.

Chip

Subject: Re: QUESTION Re: Word not reading CNTRL-L, CNTRL-E

I had the same problem as a word 20007 user so I forgot to adjust the title
of the thread. Same problem though.

I spoke with Mike at Tech Support. Turns out it is necessary to have W-E
read every word, not just characters via the keyboard layout functions in
order to get control-L etc to be read. Hopefully they will fix that in
another version. I sure thought I had that function before, but guess not.

Maybe I'm the only one that didn't know this, but just in case I'm sharing
it.

Any ideas for a work-around or a script to fix this for now? I type for a
living and can't stand to have every word read via the keyboard but would
like to know if I accidentally center or right justify something..
