you do have to create or make sure the set file you want to use is associated with the running program first. then make your changes. with almost every option in the menus you have the choice of global or program. if you want to change a option to use it only in one set file you would click on global to change it to program. make your change for that option and tab to save settings. if you want to use the hot key for battery level for something else you would first undefine the key to stop it from triggering.. if all you wanted to do is make it say Sonar when you press these keys because the program does something as part of the program you could go to the key label dictionary and define these keys so they will say Sonar when you press them. tab to update dictionary. then tab to save settings you do not have to open the w e pull down menu anymore to save each dictionary or set file individually from the pull down. just tab to save settings and it will save all changes you made. set file, graphic, key label, caricter, exception dictionary. etc.

I think I understand most of the responses I've gotten. I assume that once I have it sorted out on one computer, I can just copy and paste the files in the default directory on the new one. That would be great in one situation. That would assume that I had the same programs running on all my computers. I don't. So merely copying set files to another computer wouldn't apply my desired changes to set files that only exist on the second computer. Text to set would have done this. Feels like we're not there yet. Am I missing something? Still can't figure out how to really explore a set file. And I assume that if I want changes to a specific program, hmmm, still confused here. Let's say that in this one program I want to redefine read mouse line to Insert-Q. Originally, globally, this hot key gives battery status. I hunt around the tree view, find hot keys, then redefine the key, telling WE that I want it program specific to say, Sonar. Now, what happens in all the other applications. Do I have to go in and redefine this hot key for battery status in every other application individually because it's listed as a program specific hot key or will all the other programs still use this hot key to give battery status? As to general comments, if GW really had to make a major change like this, can someone tell me where this was explained in any detail? Instead of doing this, now you do that kind of detail. I don't like the amount of time I've used up trying to discover what I can no longer do and how to do it now. Thanks. Veronica We Woof You A Merry Christmas! Diabetes Melodious! And more!
