I've just gotten used to having the system sounds and they have
helped when Window-eyes crashes. What frustrates me is that it seems
the fancier and more up-to-date the computer, the less we can do with
it. I've just spent a lot on this high-powered machine with lots of
ram, bla bla bla, and all I'm doing is giving up things I used to
have in order to stabilize the system. Hmmm, something's just wrong
with this picture!
