Two months ago, Microsoft was promising the release of the Windows8 Blue
version. Is it out as a Beta now? And, if so, does anyone have any feedback
on its workability with Window-Eyes? One of the benefits of that version,
according to all the promises, would be the start-menu should be back in
some version. Maybe, if that is the case, and things work as expected with
the screen reader, you should wait till the final release, or even chance on
installing the beta. Smile. I am anticipating the updated version of
Windows8, and the screen reader, since I had to park my new Windows8 machine
for now - due to way too many lacks and holes in the cooperation between the
OS and the screen reader.

I know of no app for bringing back the Windows 7 Start Menu in Windows 8
that works with Window-eyes. Windows 8 makes use of several Windows-key
trigger hotkeys, one of which being Windows-R for run, Windows-X brings
down the same menu as right clicking the bottom left of the screen.
Hope this helps.
