Besides, from what I read at one web article, it seems Microsoft still supports XP for business - if they just pay enough. Cannot confirm anything further, but it was claimed that there apparently exists some kind of rather expensive contract, under which Microsoft would still release patches and updates for XP. The article even gave some further details on the matter, but I do not have the link for it. Recently, though, Microsoft released an update to their Internet Explorer, which even was released for the version 8, and that is definitely under XP as well. To me, it somehow seems that MS stopped supporting XP for the mainstream public, but so many users still lingers with that OS, that ending support for it in the screen reader would seem a pity. Yet, sooner or later the amount of users of XP will fade, and sometime in the future the screen reader manufacturers may drop their support for it. Just keep in mind, ended support does not always mean ended functionality. Even if a manufacturer does not support the OS any longer, his software may well work under that OS for a long time yet. To what extent GW decides to block anyone from the usage of the next version of Window-Eyes under XP, hence remains the actual question - far as I can discern.

For those who are curious, The reason I asked about XP support in the next version is simply because I want to know. I couldn't care less if it upsets some people. Is it too much to ask that a knowledgeable employee comment on this? How about a simple yes or no? If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
