We have no immediate plans to pull Windows XP support from Window-Eyes, but we're also not going out of our way to make sure that Window-Eyes will continue to run under Windows XP. In addition, we do little to no testing with Windows XP, we will not be addressing bugs that are specific to Windows XP, and if you contact our support department with questions specific to XP, you'll probably get a lot of "Uhhhh...."
That being said, Window-Eyes will continue to function under Windows XP for as long as the development environment we use to create Window-Eyes creates binaries that will run under Windows XP. Once that stops being the case, then our support for Windows XP will cease. While we appreciate the financial burden that upgrading an operating system can cost, there are (what most would consider) potentially affordable solutions. Microsoft themselves offers brand new laptops as low as $250 (for example, http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/productID.288729000/pgm.94341000). If cost is the deciding factor determining your ability to upgrade, consider contacting your local League for the Blind or comparable charity organization to find out what kinds of assistance programs they have or are aware of.
