If you had read my posts on this subject you would have read that each
person knows their own financial situation and should plan with the
information at their disposal.

Enough said.

Subject: RE: xp support for next version of window-eyes

"Anyone, in my opinion, who is running XP should upgrade at their first
opportunity for the reason I specified above."

Ms Campbell,
As one of the more enthusiastic advocates of dropping XP in favour of a more
up-to-date operating system, would you be prepared to personally sponsour a
list member unable to afford the cost of necessary hardware and software
upgrades in order that they put your suggestions into practice? As you say,
running XP is fraught with risks from hackers and crackers. So, it would be
a very public-spirited gesture from you to enable at least one of us mere
mortals to make the move over to Windows Seven or later. I dare say GW Info
is richly endowed with self-styled internet security experts, software
analysts and engineers. I'm sure if they were to donate a dollar each time
they gave us the benefit of their insight into the subject, soon we would be
able to help a dozen or more ignorant bumkins who are unwittingly throwing
the future of GW, Ai Squared and the civilised world into question by using
out-of-date versions of Windows.

Sincerely, MJ Williams
