Guys we all have different needs but let me just say this. It is a reality. Whether you like it or not, program developers will no longer see the need to continue supporting older operating systems. This is me being realistic and not being arrogant at all. After all technology changes like the rest of us. So either move with the change or live with the possible consequences. Sorry to chime in but needed to say this in a reply.

I have to agree with Daniel on this topic. Not everyone has the finances
to upgrade and get the latest and greatest computer, or operating
system. On a totally different subject, I am a bit of a musician. I use
a Talkbox. That Talkbox is powered with the help of an old Yamaha dx27
keyboard. What's the latest and greatest thing? A Micro Korg. Do I have
the money for this? Nope? My point that I am making is this. Sure,
Yamaha isn't supporting it anymlore. But, it, meaning the Yamaha, still
works. Now, while a musical keyboard is different from a computer, a
computer can't always be upgraded either. I don't have the money for
another flavor of an operating system. I've run XP on two different
machines. A desktop that was custome built, and this Dell laptop
Latitude d520 model that I've had for over eight years. Virus scans are
run on it everyday, I do cleaning of junk files, and, I do clean ups for
the disk drives. Both external, and internal. So, if it ain't broke,
don't fix it. i would love to get an updated OS but, unfortunately, I
can't. I work with what I've got.
It must be nice that jobs can afford to help upgrade folks when it comes
to new operating systems. Do they take in to account that if something
changes, it may not be accessible anymore depending on what that maybe?

Thanks for telling me what I should be doing with the little money I
have.
Let's see, should I pay my rent and buy food or spend the money on a new
computer? Don't be so arrogant as to tell me what I should do with MY
money
just because you are in a position apparently to spend your money much
more
easily on the latest technology and don't have to worry about basic
needs.
This is the most obnoxious email I have received on this list and I could
not help but reply.
"people should know their finances and plan accordingly" - PLEASE - you
should be a financial planner!

Well people knew that support was going to end for XP and they should
have
been making plans to upgrade especially if it is a personal situation. I
realize, having been there, that work is a different situation.

People do need to start thinking about upgrading from VISTA as I have
it on
very good authority that this one will no longer be supported as of
October
of this year.

People know their finances and should plan accordingly with the
information
at their disposal.

Thanks.
