Well I am glad we are getting both approaches. It isn't really objecting to
change. It is about having options. For example I love the f8 key when
working with large blocks of text. Btw this is very much a standard method
of selecting text. I like the shift arrow keys when working with a small
block of text. I like having the option.
Also on the subject of formatting you can copy the formatted text. In most
word processors you have the option whether or not you key the source
formatting or paste text only. This means you also have that option as well.

Aaron

Just a supporting mail! I like the F8 keystroke very much!
If you should decide to nolonger have shift key
support, this is no problem for me at all. F8 works simple, intuitive and
great.
I think we all blind people should learn that technique and things are
changing! I must admit I too was a chap complaining and moaning about people
with their iPhones for example, how should blinds work with touch screen
this I supposed
as rediculous maybe ask them for their driving license later on? LOL, but
last year with much doubt and fear I bought myself an iPhone and the first
two weeks I would have cursed that silly device more than once but I fear
that the silly one it was I! After 10 months now, I can nolonger miss my
device and now I am used to work with touch devices and gestures with which
navigating is much more faster than it is with keyboard symbian phones. So
people all around the world sometimes changing seems difficult but after a
while more confident for all of us!

Davy from Belgium.

I think I'm going to have to add this to my signature, because it keeps
getting overlooked: we will be adding shift-arrow support in the future.
Remember, you only need to paste into notepad to remove formatting.
Otherwise there's no point in visiting Notepad. I think, if you were to
actually use F8 for a week, you'd be as used to it as anything else. The
whole idea of launching another program for such a trivial task just seems
ludicrous. But, that's your ship if you want to sail it.

Thanks,

Aaron
