As Neville stated, USB 3 ports have blue instead of I think it is black
around the port. Also, if you get sighted help that has particularly sharp
eyes or a magnifying glass, USB 3.0 ports actually have either USB 3.0 or
3.0, or maybe just 3, I can't recall, printed somewhere around the port.
Just found this out not too long ago.
I don't know of any certain way to find out which ports are which in
Windows. I've been told that there is a utility in Linux or at least in
certain distributions of Linux that will list each port and its properties
of each port in a certain order that you can follow.
Regards,
Chris

You will need sighted help -- they are usually a different color or
something, or maybe the manual for the mb will say.

Hi, Folks. I recently bought a new computer, and have a question.
The new system has both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. Is there any way
to distinguish one from the other? They all appear to be the same.
Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao.

Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is:
How do
you spend it?
