Hi Aaron: That is a good idea and I will leave it at that. For me, since I
don't speak other languages, I would still want to be able to translate my apps
into other languages without the help of a human translator. I could change
things if anyone wanted to put in the time to ReWrite the auto-generated
language strings but at least they could read and perhaps understand what is
going on initially. If I just had English strings they would likely not have a
clue where to start or what to look at.
So, I guess that my idea is a diferent animal than the design conceptually.
There is a need for what you have put out for human translators. There is also,
I think, a need for one language folks to be able to produce their scripts in
various other languages that they don't speak allowing the Google Translator to
handle it the best it can initially.
So, I will look at putting something together in this respect since the two
conceptual models of who would use each app product are totally diferent.

Another thought discussed last night was to add a loop to your new UI App
so that instead of a user having to convert one string at a time they could
select a target language and hit a button to have all the UI elements and
Strings converted automatically. That would be light years faster and cleaner
than doing it manually, one line at a time as it now stands.

Typical, according to the people who do the translating for Window-Eyes,
automatic translations are just as time consuming because you then are
responsible for reading through all the text to make sure the translations are
correct (which, often, they are not). If someone responsible for translating is
going to take the extensive amount of time required, they're going to do it
right the first time. At least, again, that's what I hear from people who are
actually translating.
