Years ago, I was unfortunate enough to be helping somebody put together s Heidi Marsh pattern, At the time she mostly did Civil War stuff and was one of the few "games" in town, ( this was may 20 years ago?) I was appauled at how little information was in them and how this pieces did not even match up..the curves seemed to be for totally different garments, etc. I finally talked to someone who did re-creation clothing for a living who told me that Heidi apparently patterned exsisting antiques as best she could and often had never even made them her self to check the patterns before marketing them.
I would have had no problem with that if she would have some how conveyed that to her cusomer cosumers."this is a work in progress attempting to pattern an exsisting historic garment that mearures approximately this....;." but it was quite frustrating. Muslin EVERTYTHING from companies you dont know ...or even if you do, after all figuring out you have a fitting problem AFTER you cut into you precious fabric of which you have a limited amount, is not time to ...well you know Bambi (To be named ater) TBNL I am made for great things by GOD and walk with Pride!!!! " I would certainly hope so! Has she not made up these patterns herself to check that they work? Nancy Kiel nancy_k...@hotmail.com Never tease a weasel! This is very good advice. For the weasel will not like it And teasing isn't nice. > From: otsi...@socket.net > To: h-costume@mail.indra.com > Date: Mon, 14 Mar 2011 16:17:44 -0500 > Subject: [h-cost] Patterns of time & Ageless Patterns trim instructions > > Today I received a pattern from Patterns of Time, this is the second time I > received the pattern folded and stuffed in an envelope.
