I just got my copy of Richard Walters' book, M Programming, and I want to try writing a few simple M programs (one project is to parse my external patient data to put it into a form suitable for importing into VistA via Fileman). However, I would like to avoid screwing up my VistA installation. I'm guessing that putting the routines in a user's Linux account other than VistA, will do this safely, correct?
