I hear you. In my mind, HP=garbage. The guy at work that bought one was the
same way. That's what makes this one so bizarre.

With regard to scaling, my point is that 2560x1440 on a 13" display is
probably going to be too tiny at 100% scale. Therefore, you have two
choices: 1. Reduce your resolution (which sucks because you certainly want
to run native resolution), or use Windows scaling (e.g., 125, 150, or 200%,
adjusted from Control Panel - Display, "Change the size of all items"). That
is where you can run into trouble--some apps don't look that well when using
scaling. My Thinkpad8 tablet has a 1080p 8" screen, and requires scaling to
be readable.

Thanks Greg, I would of never even looked at HP if you hadn't mentioned
it.... I am a Thinkpad guy...but I am going with the Spectre x360 13-4005dx
which has the I7 and the Quad HD but skip the
512 SSD which cuts the cost by 150. I don't need that kind of space on a
laptop... especially one with so many USB3 ports. My only hesitation is with
the Quad HD which I don't completely understand the issue. I assume I will
be able to use it at normal resolutions, but what you are telling me is that
some applications won't scale properly and I won't know which ones until I
try it?
