This has been a fabulous discussion. Ive tried to check out all models discussed. I am looking for a laptop that comes with an illuninated keyboard (prefer RED). It will be used by my older Brother during his astronomical viewing sessions. Currenlly I believe he uses various flashlights and headlamps to interface with his astronomical program running on his current
laptop.
Your help and suggestions are greately appreciated.

that is what my 30 runs at... I figured having QHD I would be able to output to it...which is cool for a laptop.

But mostly marketing.

So why do manufactures put it in small laptops, if it is such a pain in the
ass to make normal windows work?
What is the plus side of it ... other then marketing?
