VirtualDub will make MPEGs. (You "may" have to install some codec pacs.)

Playing with Vista and the Media Center Extender to my Xbox360, except it won't play AVI's, only mpeg's or WMV's and such.. What is the best/fastest/cheapest AVI to WMV converter so I can convert a bunch of AVI's to a format that Media Center will support?
