Recently, I bought a small piece of land up in the New Mexico mountains. I am interested in your Hexayurt as an inexpensive shelter I could build myself, as opposed to a tent, that could be left build on the property. Weather conditions could include high winds and hail. Wildlife in the area are bear and cougar, so a tent is not desirable. Construction would be done by a single person with no construction experience. This land is totally Off-grid. Design of the Hexayurt will be for part time use, and a home if needed. What design and materials would best suit these conditions?
