1) This has been happening alot to myself and teammates with DSL. The guys with cable don't seem to know what we are talking about. Not sure if that is a clue or just chance.
2) We rent two I-Lan servers. One has the 4108a patch, and one has the 4108 patch. 4108a has stayed up since being installed as far as I can tell. 4108 has a lot of problems. 3) The ingame lag is terrible, and a contributing factor to why Torque is no longer playing TFC. I usually ping less than 100 to our servers, and with netgraph running showing no loss and no choke, I can barely move at times. Other signs of lag are shooting rockets and only seeing explosions across the room, running forward but every so often actually being a couple seconds behind where you were, and the best one is seeing an enemy, pressing fire, and respawning instead of shooting! 4) No comment 5) Was there any doubt this would happen? 6) I attribute this to the increased lag. It's like a delayed telefrag! It's a lot of fun to jump off the battlements on 2fort and then die for no apparent reason. The 4108a patch does seem to play a lot smoother than the 4108. Not sure exactly what changed. I was too lazy to read the readme, but was frustrated enough to try it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "HoundDawg" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, October 01, 2001 11:35 AM Subject: A Few TFC Issues > > Now that the new patch has been running on our servers for a little while, > here are some issues we are experiencing in TFC: > > 1) Sometimes after the map changes, half of the players (on a full 18 player > server) have a hard time joining the game.
