Thanks Stan. At least someone fully understands what I was going on
about.  Yes, I'm still over on the cs forums and recently onto
counter-server with ronin and gang.  I haven't been able to post to the
list for several months due to my isp changing the smtp server's addy
(grr..)

The "loopback" that Lythium was referring to is the ability of the NAT
device to allow a connection attempt originating on the LAN interface
side of the router to connect to the WAN interface IP, and then be NATed
back thru the LAN interface to an internal LAN private IP address of the
HLDS server.  This allows an internal LAN HL client to connect to the
public IP address of the HLDS server, instead of connecting to the
private LAN IP address of the HLDS server.

BTW, good to see you back on the HLDS list Lythium...hadn't seen
anything from you in a while.  You still active on the CounterStrike
forums?
