One thing to remember is that you still have to run the hldsupdatetool
with -beta swapbeta to get the Version 59 dlls that have the fix in them.

The server version string does not change when you run the beta modules,
both will show this:
Protocol version 7
Exe version 1.0.0.7 (hl2dm)
Exe build: 17:13:45 Mar 2 2006 (2672)

Here are the MD5 sums so everyone still having problems can verify that they
are actually running the beta dlls:

Version 58:
d729d4042aa51a3aefc6f47c23a061bb *steamclient.dll
273f80e8e4afc2b0de4d903c893ffb9f *steam_api.dll

Version 59 (Beta):
39c35aff9384a9517cda25e6e006e52f *steamclient.dll
70ec8b011a05d47b1ff53706e68e3add *steam_api.dll

If you don't have a Win32 MD5 tool get this free one:

Having console logs (rather than server logs) would help, if you put
"-condebug" on the servers startup line it will generate a console.log
for you (note that this file can grow very large, so monitor any servers
you make this change to).

I would also be useful to know about machine configurations of people
with and without this problem, in particular CPU and OS details.
