lets not forget we've had a console release this weekend as well, which normally pulls people away from games like tf2 for awhile

This year there's half a dozen good mp games (Chivalry, Natural Selection, Borderland 2) even crappy FPSlike the COD series are taking people from TF2 server. And during the first quarter of every new year beginning, TF2 players are coming back (not all of them of course).
