Thanks Klaus, that's the guy: Sjoen Scott. I don't think he's so  
widely known. You find about him at

Despite his Scandinavian-looking name he's born in California, but  
seems to have spent his career in Germany and Switzerland. You also  
read:
"Sjön is the pure French horn player. His profession is playing the  
French horn. His hobbies are practicing French horn, trying out new  
French horns, liking the French horns, buying the French horns,  
getting upset about the purchase, buying another French horn, getting  
upset again - a never ending circle. Besides that, he is one of the  
nicest guys in the whole world!"

Does anybody here know him?
