In response to Steve Freides’ query. Let me as a working therapist and hornist draw our attention to two therapies with a good response to stress situations – including performance nerves,
Autogenic Therapy aka Autogenic Training (AT). AT works well to reduce nervous tension, and usually extends over some eight weekly instruction sessions. The training HAS to be personal, one to one and CANNOT be learned from books. Dianetic Auditing. Very effective and removes the mental stress factors (engrams) often involved with performance nerves. Powerful, but can be lengthy in terms of time and frequency. Highly recommended (by me!)
