That is correct, they are F.E. Olds and Sons. The new Olds (yeah, yeah, I know) seems to take pride in making cheap, terrible tubas. Three new tubas were bought for our high-school this year. My band director was a little clueless and didn't realize what he was doing when he bought them because when they came in, he was more than a little shocked to see the Olds logo on them. He meant to buy a different brand of tuba that supposedly are pretty good. What he got was Olds.
