Russ,

Just did Bolero last season.  It was my first time playing 3rd as well.
Rather than look for places to lay out, this might be an excellent
opportunity to look for bad playing habits and get rid of them.  I found
myself using a ridiculous amount of pressure by the end, and made it a point
to constantly monitor that after the first rehearsal.  Just a suggestion.
