Hi, I am trying to fix a problem with a HP LaserJet 3055 (MFP). I have Fedora Core 5 installed, the latest version of cups for fc5 and hplip version of 1.7.3. The printer is very flaky about working and not working. I have tried to restart the computer and usually stuff starts printing out. Anyway, after issueing the command tail -f /var/log/messages I recieve these errors: ... Apr 10 14:09:26 localhost hpiod: invalid Dot4CreditRequest from peripheral: io/hpiod/dot4.cpp 939 Apr 10 14:09:26 localhost HP_LaserJet_3055?serial=00CNBJ020495: ERROR: check device; will retry in 30 seconds... ... This is repeated indefinately.
I am having the user use a HP OfficeJet 6100 (which works fine) until the issue is resolved. Any ideas?
