Once again the
Monktail Creative Music Concern presents SOUNDS OUTSIDE: A CELEBRATION OF
ADVENTUROUS
MUSIC & COMMUNITY for two Saturdays in July and
August. In its fifth year, the annual, free to the public, jazz and
creative music festival comes to Capitol Hill's Cal Anderson Park to
celebrate the diversity of the local and national music communities,
and encourage positive use of the centrally located urban park. Since
the inception of the festival, organizers have emphasized the
importance of the annual event, as Seattle's only free, outdoor,
creative music festival, supported entirely by local businesses,
foundations and individuals. This year, Sounds Outside touts another
exciting line-up, including the who's-who of Seattle improvisers and a
few amazing out of town guests. Presented in conjunction with Advocates
for Abundance through Action in the Arts.
