The Bushwick Book Club Seattle, Seattle Jazz Composers Ensemble and Captain
Smartypants
(an ensemble of Seattle Men's Chorus) have come together to present The Bible -
original songs inspired by stories from the Old Testament.
10 Songwriters have written 10 new songs based on 10 stories from the Bible's
Old
Testament.
SJCE took these songs and arranged them for a 7-piece band and chamber choir.
This
all comes together to bring you an evening of song, comedy, theater,
re-imagining
stories from one of the oldest, influential, and controversial books we know
Beth Fleenor (aka: Crystal Beth) premieres her new work "Flesh" as part of this
performance.

Sam Boshnack unleashes her beautifully quirky, high-energy quintet in a series
of
Seattle performances, designed to explore her new work in different sonic
contexts.
One of the Frye Art Museum's [Moment Magnitude] featured artists, Boshnack has
had
a powerful year, including an Artist Trust Fellowship for Music, and support
from
the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs for this latest project. The Sam
Boshnack
Quintet will be recording their first record following their "Triple Spelunk,"
as
well as performing for elementary school children. The Sam Boshnack Quintet has
also recently been nominated for an Earshot Jazz Golden Ear Award for 2012 NW
Alternative
Jazz Group.

the Royal Room Collective Music Ensemble presents Horvitz's ever-expanding works
in new spontaneously conducted versions monthly.
The Ensemble features Beth Fleenor, Samantha Boshnack, and other fine fixtures
of the Seattle music community including Craig Flory, Naomi Seigel, Kate Olson,
Geoff Harper, Eric Eagle and more.
The band will be recording a live record at these two performances, to be
released
in conjunction with their week long residency at John Zorn's NYC music gallery,
