This is fine, but note that 2010.2.0.1234 > 2010.2.0 so users of these
deb packages will have trouble upgrading to the final 'stable' release
when it appears in ubuntu if that is what they want to do.

What does `make package_source` generate? I can't test from here, this
needs to create tarballs with stable predictable names (i.e.
hugin-2010.1.0.tar.gz).
