Habi suggested using Launchpad's translate functionality a while ago.  Would 
that help?  It brings a whole set of other consequences that need to be 
considered.  We can have a look at this next year if the translators find it 
useful.

Yes, it's good not to depend on luck, and even better not to depend on tools 
that represent roadblocks for new/occasional translators.
