I studied a little further and I now understand why it doesn't work. I
use wxmac/wxwindows functions in the hugin_base part. That's the part
that doesn't support wxmac/wxwidgets functions. I should make the test
differently. Currently I use the wxGetOsVersion function but that
doesn't work in this base part.

bummer.
(but a good programmer would have spotted that immediately I suppose).

I'm ready to test a new version... :-)
