No Pete, the hum is nowhere beyond my flat. Admittedly, I have not
spent time in neighbouring houses but when I step outside - it
vanishes. When I've stayed over at friends, am able to sleep normally
- no hum at all. I'm in London. From my research on 'the hum' I'm none
too sure whether the hum or buz I'm experiencing is actually 'the' hum
- I rather think that we've all been lumped together under a hum
phenomena. The biggest difference is those who (like me) do not detect
it outside their dwelling and those who detect it everywhere. If I
detected it everywhere, I'd have to look into the possibility that
there was a biological cause for the sensation (yes, I'm aware that
psychotronics trigger biological effects - silent weapons for quiet
wars!) and would conclude that it was most likely the effects of
H.A.A.R.P. which is a reality in any case.

For me, I can hear and sense the sound/vibration but no-one else is
affected. My plants and cats too, seem unnaffected which surprises me
as I know my immune and nervous systems are being compromised.

Like you, I've found much of the research conclusions lead me astray
into nowhere, with conditions such as Tinitus being suggested as
responsible - which is not the case for me or for the Tinitus
sufferers who can distinguish the hum. The research via la
authorities, subtly discredits complainants so the reader is left
where they started - with some kind of unexplained mystery which they
can readily file under 'mental illness'. With all the talk about the
hum, I've yet to find a list of checks where people suffering humming/
buzzing in the home can go through the process of elimination before
assuming the worst. Neither have I encountered intelligible
information on what testing equipment is appropriate and available to
individuals or investigating bodies such as landlords or local
authorities. This is itself a bit of a mystery. I think much hum
information is deliberately misleading! It is not in the least helpful
to promote a hum which has not been traced and solved, yet fail to
produce all the causes where a hum has been stopped. It conveniently
lets the authorities who could help, off the hook of even trying as
'it can't be traced - cause unknown'.

The intensity of this hum prevents sleep at night. More than just a
sound, it has a vibration which can be felt physically by the brain
and skull - sometimes the pressure is noticeable around the ears. The
effects are debilitating. It is not a hobby in exploring psychotronic
warfare equipment and its effects - the effects of this sound ensure
nothing less than house arrest and unemployment. Of course, a solution
is to move (easier said than done). Only then can it be established
whether I am under personal attack or it's just as I'm assuming -
something is up within this property!

It could of course be psychotronic attack but if this is so, they
could have gone much further than the hum to cause disorientation/
distress, such as voice to skull transmissions and microwave burning
(although the hum does heat my face and head).

As to 'why' The Hum is - we're all 'one' in the one world order -
vibrating in sync and thnking the same thought simultaniously -
ultimate control and victory to the psychopaths. The same answer can
be applied to 'why' anything in this global Assylum is the way it is.
You say the hum isn't bothersome - you're lucky! I think we're talking
about different hums from different causes.
