Hi Mike,

i'm afraid you're another victim of the marketing-departments.....they make
it sound like creating music with their little toys is as easy as 1-2-3, and
then there's the idea that much of the house/techno/electronica/whatever
music can be created in a few hours....

but nobody mentions that next to some skills and talents it takes *time* to
create good music....don't expect to create the music you have in mind after
3 months.....

if you're really selling your gear it maybe is an idea to use software like
dream station, rebirth and acid to learn the basics of song writing.....get
your ideas in your head into music.......it's the most difficult
part...everyone nowadays can create a nice sounding bassline or a good
rythm..but where to go next? now it's time to do song creation...

i would urge you not to sell this stuff...it's a great setup...just be
patient, and experiment, and try to learn.....it maybe will take you a year,
or 2 years, or even more to get where you want, but as long as you're
enjoying the learning process it's definately worth it...

good luck, Olaf
