I can tell you with 100% certainty that there is a Yamaha engineer working 
on the next generation of 'remix sequencers'.

Whether or not it will be called an RM2X, or what features it will have, is 
a total unknown, and is up to Yamaha to announce when appropriate.

(I can give you this hint, though, based on rumours I have heard: 
RM1X+SU300+PLG.  *Rumours*, remember.)

Also, whether or not this product actually *makes* it on the market is a 
different story.  A lot of cool projects are developed at Yamaha R&D, and 
not all of them make it out on the market...

(I cite the famed AN1R - rack mount AN1X - as an example.  This was done, 
ready for production, but got canned in favour of continued PLG 
development... which is another story in and of itself...)
