If I understand correctly, you can connect multiple "systems" together, for
example with Enterprise Extender to replace subarea connections.  All the
tn3270 sessions can point to one "system" which is the "central" manager.
Then the user may request an application which exists on one of the other
systems and be routed appropriately.

Am I close?

No.

I'm sorry.
I asked the wrong question in my frustration with trying the get to the
answer.

Of course, a CMC is never 'required'.
But, is it supported in a TCP/IP environment.
Management's goal is to get rid of SNA.
Will we still be able to use a CMC?

(That was my original [as yet, unanswered] question)

Also, where is CMC management/support/etc documented?
