Considering the future, and, hopefully, EAV being more prevalent in future, a better choice than DCBTIOT is to use DSABTIOT. Once the DCB is open, issue GETDSAB LOC=ANY,DCBPTR= ....... and use the DSABTIOT change to detect the concatenation change after each GET.
