Have you also considered the hardware requirements: "DB2 10 operates on System z or equivalent processors that are running in 64- bit mode with z/OS V1.10.00, or later. These processors include zEnterprise 196 (z196), z10, z9, z990, z890, and later processors that are supported by z/OS V1.10.00."
