Many moons ago, I worked at an OS/390 shop and we had to purchase VPSPrint,
along with the CICS and JES components, because neither played well with
TCP/IP, and we were converting away from SNA.
The products were not very expensive, THEN.
We just got a ridiculous price quote from LRS, through our out-sourcer, who was
suppposed to have a deal/discount for us.

So, we are looking at alternatives:
1. I have heard (but not read) that JES2 (at least) gets along better as of 1.7
(or is it 1.8?).
2. When does CICS cooperate?
3. I have looked through the 4-volume RedBook Collection 'Communications Server
for z/OS V1R7 TCP/IP Implementation' and have found very little reference to
JES.
4. Doesn't IBM have a (little liked) replacement called NTP Print (or something
like that)?
5. Does anybody know where this stuff is documented?
